The piping plover (Charadrius melodus) is a small sand-colored, sparrow-sized shorebird that nests and feeds along coastal sand and gravel beaches in North America. Although not native to our shores, they are very cute and are illustrated beautifully in this A4 print print. This image was created during the production of one of Ben Rothery's books.
